At Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Primary School, we believe that supporting others and serving our community are an important part of living out our Catholic faith and values. Throughout the year, our children take part in a range of charitable events and fundraising activities which help them develop compassion, generosity and a sense of social responsibility. We encourage our pupils to think about the needs of others and understand how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Each class at Our Lady of Lourdes has a dedicated charity which they support throughout the year. This gives children the opportunity to learn more about different local, national and global causes whilst building a meaningful connection with their chosen charity. Through activities such as bake sales, sponsored events, coffee mornings, non-uniform days and seasonal fundraising projects, our pupils work together enthusiastically to raise money and awareness for those in need.

Our charitable work reflects the mission of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Primary School: to “Love, Learn and Grow” together as a caring Catholic community. By taking part in these events, children learn the importance of empathy, stewardship and helping others, whilst recognising that they can have a positive impact on the wider world.
